The Jay Odom Group takes immense pride in its active community service and philanthropy involvement.
Our dedication to the communities we serve is as profound as our commitment to our various development projects. We firmly believe in the power of giving back and positively impacting society.
Over the years, we have donated more than $1 million to various charities and community organizations. Our philosophy is simple: we aim to rejuvenate communities and make a significant difference, particularly in areas related to youth and education. This is why we have consistently supported programs such as Adopt a Classroom, Take Stock in Children, Education Foundations, and numerous other school and children’s initiatives.
Our contributions extend beyond financial donations. In collaboration with Walton County and Hammock Bay, we have donated 60 acres of land to the City of Freeport to construct a $20 million state-of-the-art Regional Sports Complex. We have also donated 30 acres within Hammock Bay’s Town Center to the Walton County School District for an elementary/middle school.
In a tribute to first responders, armed forces, and all uniformed service members, we erected the tallest flagpole in the State of Florida, standing at 172 feet tall, in the Uptown District of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We have also donated land in the heart of the City of Destin and the Crystal Beach area for public use and recreation.
Our support extends to charities that provide stability and resources for children and families in need to build brighter futures for all our citizens. These include organizations such as Children in Crisis, Boys & Girls Club, All Sports Association, Children’s Hospitals & Foundations, Ronald McDonald House, St Judes, Special Olympics, The Niemoller Foundation, Opportunity Place, March of Dimes, Shelter House, Families First Network.
We also encourage our team to engage in community service and volunteerism. We support a variety of causes, including Wildlife Rehabilitators, Wounded Warriors, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Florida Sheriffs Association, Fisher House, The Air Force Enlisted Village, Local Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Organizations, and local Rotary, Kiwanis, Lion, and Shriner Clubs. We believe corporate responsibility begins locally and are committed to positively impacting our communities.
